We are looking for a capable Hardware in the Loop (HIL) Test Engineer (m/f) to support our electronic engineering team located at our rapidly expanding Aachen Engineering Centre in Wegberg, Germany. This purpose built facility opened in 2005 and has the responsibility for powertrain development especially for diesel fuel injection and exhaust gas after-treatment systems.
As HIL Test Engineer you will be responsible for the implementation of highly automated test cases including the test execution, evaluating the test results and the corresponding problem reporting. In your daily work you will closely collaborate with our core development in Japan and the relevant internal departments in Europe.
In detail you will:
You will typically have a passion for technical products and are likely to have a university degree in engineering or comparable education with a focus on information technology, electrical or engineering control systems. You will have a solid foundation in software engineering and testing gained from over five years of professional experience in embedded software development and minimum one year in software testing. In addition you possess expert knowledge in software testing techniques, test automation, test tools, measurement equipment and test script programming.
Knowledge of vehicle/engine management control systems or a fundamental understanding of fuel injection systems is needed to fulfil your role. You will be comfortable working both independently or in teams using a structured approach and showing a high quality orientation. You will demonstrate strong communication skills.
Languages / Travel
You will work within an international and highly diverse and multi-cultural organisation on a day-to-day basis. A good level of English and ideally also of German is required. You will be expected to undertake occasional business travel.
