We are looking for a capable Engineer for Ceramic Components to enhance our engineering resources in Europe at our rapidly expanding Aachen Engineering Centre in Wegberg, Germany. This purpose-built facility opened in 2005 and has the responsibility for powertrain development especially for diesel fuel injection and exhaust gas after-treatment systems.
You will be be the engineering interface for ceramic components with key customers in Europe. You will be responsible for the competent technical consulting regarding relevant new technologies as well as for the development and application from concept phase to series production maturity. In your daily work you will closely collaborate with our core development teams in Japan and Europe.
In detail you will
You will typically have a passion for technical products and are likely to have a university degree in automotive or mechanical engineering or a comparable education. You will have a background regarding design, processing and manufacturing methods as well as the ability to operate CATIA or similar 3D CAD systems. Either in your past professional experience or in an academic environment you have demonstrated your project delivery capability.
Fundamental knowledge of combustion technology and industry quality standards (TS 16949, ISO9001) will help you to successfully fulfil your role.
You will be comfortable working both independently or in teams using a structured, analytical approach and showing a high quality orientation, combined with a proactive attitude, flexibility and good judgement ability. You will demonstrate strong communication and negotiation skills.
