For the AM Product Department within the After Market & Industrial Solutions Business Unit we are looking for an:
APPLICATION ENGINEER – DIESEL
"A true passionate specialist for technical products".
As a DENSO Application Engineer Aftermarket you will be responsible for the technical aspect of setting up new product applications for improving our Aftermarket Sales for Diesel.
This starts from analyzing the existing product ranges and calculating the gap between actual range and planned expansion in range and coverage. From this analysis, an agreement has to be made with the related Product Leader how and when to fill in this gap. During the application development process, the application engineer is responsible for the delivery of the new product applications within the set time frame and against the agreed quality. At the same time, the technical information for these new applications has to be managed and stored in a secure way.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
Understanding- and working with the EU car park data analysis and coverage ratio calculation from product management and their priorities;
From the set priorities, perform a first scan of which Denso products match carmaker applications and come with a plan how to fulfil the required applications;
Setting Aftermarket specifications by reverse engineering and sample evaluation;
Developing and maintaining technical specifications for existing- and new products;
Product inspection standard set-up for incoming- and warranty inspection.(QA);
Proposing new product standards from review and analysis of the existing standard.
You have as Application Engineer:.
An technical MBO/ HBO level education, preferably Automotive Diesel;
Experience in the automotive parts business;
At least 3-5 years working experience;
Good analytical skills;
Good job planning and priority setting skills;
You are a self-initiating, structured person with a passion for technical products.
Languages and travelling
You will work within an international, highly diverse and multi-cultural. Written and verbal communication skills in English are essential in this role.
